Wildwake

Moss is an undead groundskeeper with one promise: he will not strike the hungry dead. Shape the island to survive them. Dig trenches, raise banks and turn water and ice into defences through three short nights, then keep building in this offline sandbox.

Inside the game

One more move.

  • Play as Moss, a zombie who kept his conscience. There are no weapons or direct attacks; change the ground and keep out of reach.
  • Prepare for as long as you need, then choose Face night. Survive three 45-second nights with four, six and eight pursuers. Survivors retreat at dawn.
  • Dig trenches and raise banks to change routes. Liquid water and sand slow pursuers; deep water and sufficiently large falls can harm them. Melt an ice crossing beneath the horde.
  • Nearby pursuers drain Composure. If it reaches zero, regroup and restart the three nights while keeping your terrain and materials.
  • After the third night, keep shaping the island freely or choose Survive again for another three-night attempt.
  • A 48 by 48 island with Dig, Earth, Stone, Sand, Heat, Freeze and Walk. Digging recovers material; building spends a finite inventory. Water flows and ice remains frozen until heated.
  • Landscape touch movement, tap-to-walk, camera controls, optional sound and local saves. Pause stops the island and horde.

Android controls

  • Select Keep the promise on the introduction. Use the movement pad, or choose Walk and tap dry land.
  • Choose a terrain tool, move within reach and hold a nearby cell to use it. Prepare banks, trenches and a route back to the refuge before choosing Face night.
  • Watch Composure, the time to dawn and the trapped/slowed counts. Move away from approaching dead; your tools edit terrain rather than attack bodies.
  • Use the camera arrows and plus/minus buttons to rotate and zoom. Heat melts ice; Freeze creates a walkable crossing.
  • Pause offers saving, sound, instructions, the Truckfish link and a confirmed island reset. Retreat / restart the nights abandons an active attempt while preserving your earthworks.
